About Prasad Amore
Prasad Amore is an RCI-registered Rehabilitation Psychologist, psychotherapist and author whose work brings together clinical psychology, contemporary psychological science and a broader understanding of human behaviour.
His perspective is informed by affective neuroscience, evolutionary psychology, psychophysiology, learning and behaviour, developmental science and brain–body interaction.
Rather than understanding psychological difficulties through symptoms or diagnostic labels alone, he considers how emotion, cognition, bodily processes, previous experience, learning, development, relationships, behaviour and environment may interact within the life of a particular person.
A central question guides his work:
Why might this person be feeling, thinking or responding in this particular way, at this point in their life?
This perspective informs his psychological practice, psychotherapy, research, writing and professional training.
